The Faculty of Arts and Sciences continues to educate individuals who are rational, creative, research-oriented and open to development in order to serve the basic sciences with their expert academic staff. The Translation and Interpretation programme is offered by Near East University.

The faculty, which raises desired and competent individuals capable of interpreting and using both Turkish and English languages perfectly, also works towards spreading the substantiality of the Turkish language around the world by teaching Turkish to international students in the Turkish Prep School within the faculty of Turkish Language and Literature.
The Translation and Interpretation programme is offered by Near East University.
In accordance with this purpose, the level of quality of the courses is increased by integrating effective reading, writing and listening activities in language laboratories.
Along with being one of the fastest-growing science disciplines of the century, the recently opened Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is a discipline which came to existence through the common improvements of biochemistry, cell biology and genetics. The program is supported by the well-equipped laboratories of the university.
The undergraduate program in the History Department aims to introduce the students to the concepts and methods of historiography and to provide them with the tools to evaluate the contemporary world from a historical perspective. Furthermore, the Turkish Language and Literature Department and History Department programs lead the way in training qualified staff who can make evaluations in the field of “Archiving”.
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences, which was established within the framework of Near East University, continues to educate individuals who are rational, creative, research-oriented and open to development in the departments of English Language and Literature, Turkish Language and Literature, Psychology, Mathematics, English Translation and Interpretation, History, Geography, Turkish Preparatory School, Molecular Biology and Genetics.
